These terms supplement our main Terms of Service. By using the dating features, you agree to both. We've built dating for the LGBTQ+ community with safety and authenticity at the core.

Eligibility

Who can use Gatherly Dating

To use Gatherly Dating, you must:

1Be at least 18 years old (dating has a higher age requirement than the main app)

2Have an active Gatherly account in good standing

3Not be legally prohibited from using dating services in your jurisdiction

4Agree to these Dating Terms and our Safety Guidelines

Your Dating Profile

Authenticity requirements

📌 Be Real

Your dating profile must accurately represent you. Catfishing, impersonation, and deceptive profiles are strictly prohibited and will result in permanent removal.

Photo Requirements

✓All photos must be of you
✓At least one clear face photo is required
✓No explicit nudity in profile photos
✓Group photos should clearly identify you

Profile Verification

We offer optional photo verification to prove you're the person in your photos. Verified profiles get a badge and may appear more prominently in discovery.

Matching & Connections

How dating works

Gatherly Dating uses a mutual matching system. You can only message someone after you've both expressed interest.

Express interest in someone. They won't know unless they like you back.

✨ Matching

When two people like each other, it's a match! Now you can chat.

👋 Passing

Not interested? Pass and they won't appear again (unless you use Rewind).

🚫 Unmatching

Change your mind? Unmatch at any time to end the connection.

Termination

Ending your dating access

You Can Leave Anytime

Disable your dating profile in settings. Your matches and conversations will be removed. Your main Gatherly account remains active.

We May Restrict Access

We may suspend or terminate your dating access for violations of these terms or our Community Guidelines. Serious violations may affect your main account too.
